Job Description

  • Proactively originate, screen, and evaluate new investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, founders, executives, and industry stakeholders to enhance proprietary deal flow
  • Lead preliminary deal evaluation activities, including commercial due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, and returns analysis  
  • Conduct in-depth industry research, competitive analysis, and thematic market studies to identify commercially and financially attractive sectors and trends
  • Develop clear, well-supported investment theses and present recommendations to the Investment Committee
  • Manage the formal due diligence process across commercial, financial, tax, legal, and ESG workstreams, and coordinate with third-party advisors, consultants, and company management teams
  • Lead the preparation of investment memos and board materials for potential investments
  • Support transaction structuring, negotiation of key commercial terms, and execution of definitive agreements
  • Support the development of the 100-day value creation plan and ensure a smooth handover to the Value Creation team post-closing
  • Prepare and present quarterly investor reports, LP updates, fundraising materials, and other internal reports and analytical materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, or strategic finance roles. Strong preference for candidates from investment banking and transaction services (Big 4 accounting firms)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to independently lead workstreams and manage them to completion under tight timelines
  • Solid financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial and business acumen, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various levels of an organization
  • A structured problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify key issues and develop practical, actionable solutions
  • Strong research skills using both desktop sources and field data, with the ability to think outside the box to source necessary information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and S&P Capital IQ (or similar platforms)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, dependable, and accountable; demonstrates strong ownership and delivers accurate results in a fast-paced environment
